Bunk Time: Reeves' Second Floor

The design of Campus Kids is very structured.  Each day's period last the same amount of time, and no in-between time is left.  But the way that Campus Kids is designed provides for structured unstructured time.  This time is called bunk time.  And in this installment of Bunk Time, we take a look at how campers on the second floor of Reeves hall spend their time.

Reeves hall is, with the exception of a few rooms on the first floor, Goonie territory, as apparent by the massive Goonies Flag outside the dorm.

The two groups that reside on this floor are the Riders of Rohan and the Lost Boys.  They share a curved hallway.

In the case of Super Senior Boys, down time is not only nice, but necessary.  Most activities that take place involve sitting, or if the need is great, standing in one place.

Many campers play instruments.  By instruments I mean guitar--by far the most popular instrument apparent at Campus Kids.

Even amongst counselors.

Some listen to music.

Others play cards.

And summer reading gets done during this time.

Sometimes, the creative juices just keep pumping.  Some campers put a sweatshirt over a fan, and wanted to see what happened.  They did, and decided their counselor's glasses would make a perfect addition to the puffed sweatshirt.

It is not uncommon to see entire bunk groups simply hanging out in one room.

Gameboys are also widely seen during bunk time.

Of course, they have evolved from the Gameboys played here many years ago.

.

And for those who simply cannot seem to stay in one place, the curved hallways make a great obstacle for throwing a frisbee (this one of cloth), or whatever can be found.

Check back for more bunk time profiles from different floors with different groups, whose views of the outside world differ.
