The culinary arts have never been a focus of Campus Kids.  That is, until now.  And while international cuisine is, as evident by the American-style food served, a stretch, the simple act of baking cookies has been added to the repertoire.

Led by Linda, the head of the food service that serves Campus Kids its daily meals, campers were introduced to the art of baking.

Ingredients, including staples like flour, eggs, and sugar were provided, along with mix-ins including M&M's (which we can only assume came from the nearby Masterfoods factory), chocolate bits, and gummy bears.

Following a provided recipe, campers got down to business...

...measuring...

...mixing...

...and making sure that all who passed them in their next activity knew what they had been doing.

Aprons, too, were an essential part of the process, so as to not add to the load of clothes parents will, inevitably, have to wash.

Once the batter was done, campers cleaned themselves by any means necessary and moved on to the next step.

The dough was placed on sheets and put onto a baking rack.

And though many wished to eat the creation before it was put through intense heat, the batter was placed in the oven.

After a quick game of trivia (consisting of questions based in the fast-food industry) to pass the time, it was time to see how the cookies came out.

What went in looking like this...

...came out looking like this.  There was less of a risk of explosion of cookies than when putting a ceramic bowl into the kiln, but nevertheless, a few blackened cookies

At snack, people gathered around people with boxes of cookies.  For some reason, they seemed to prefer them over oranges.
