Most people see
counselors outside running activities all day. But if you took a look
at their personalized schedule, you might see a row of blocks with Stu's
writing overshadowed by the phrase "OFF". Counselors, on occasion,
need breaks. Sometimes, these periods are spent sleeping, regaining
energy for the rest of the day. Other times, counselors find
themselves with little to do. Well, this will be an ongoing page on
the ways counselors spend their time when the kids are not there. |
The Campus Kids
sign hangs in the entrance to the office in Van Winkle Hall. But one
day, during off periods, Villani and Sam decided to do a photo shoot with
the sign. |

Most people would have no problem
using an iron. |
|
|
But after putting
the iron down on the lounge's couch while making life guarding T-Shirts,
thinking it was off, Sam realized it was not off, and there now exists a
large hole in the couch...

...which Sam proudly wears on her
key ring. |

During an off period, a few Staff
Assistants decided to try their hand at long-boarding at the skate park. |
|
The sun was blaring down on them. |
But they all, luckily, had water
bottles. |

Some had had experience. |
Some had not. |
|
|
And some are just naturally good
at everything. |
The years of
being a camper had taught them that safety was of the utmost importance. |
|
|
And it was a good thing too. |

Sara has a
problem: a fly has been buzzing around the office for the better part of the
day, distracting her from the important things she has to do. So, with help
from an unnamed source, she constructed an impromptu fly trap-a piece of gum
stuck on a piece of duct tape. Will it work? Find out next time
on Counselor Antics. |
