It had been a long day, and most campers were overjoyed simply to sit in the cool theater.  Thursday night was the dance show, several weeks in the making.

The audience was introduced to their hosts: Kate, Sam, Melissa, and Jay.  Throughout the entire show, they performed little skits between dances, some even mocking some of their own lack of dancing skills.

I am not a critic, nor have I been trained in dance, so my commentary other than "That looks hard" might be obsolete.  Therefore, I am going to rely on the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words".

First up was a Senior dance to the song Cabaret.

Next came Freshmen and Sophomores with "El Salam".

The Juniors came next with "Every Time we Touch".

Broadway showed its face at Centenary when Seniors performed "Today For You" from the Tony award winning musical RENT.

The next act was interactive.  It was an Apache contest.
It was a tough call...

...but the audience soon chose a winner.

Next up was a collection of older girls with "We Run This".

Followed by the Chinese Nutcracker Dance.

Next was Susan G. with a solo dance entitled "Dear Mr. President".  A beautiful song, Susan's timing was perfect, and her moves flawlessly designed to fit the song.  As the music began to die down, I found myself unlatching the cord around my wrist that held my camera and placing it on the ground so I would deliver the deserved round of applause.  These are pictures that don't say enough words.

Next came the seniors with "Send Me on My Way".

And the last scheduled dance was Shake, which consisted of almost all the dancers that had performed.

On the program, there exists, after the names, the phrase "**SPECIAL PERFORMANCE**".  Many people contemplated what it could be, but nobody got it correct.  It ended up being Counselors Jimmy and Alex doing their own dance.

After this, the entire cast took a bow, and welcomed Stu to the stage.

And after a quick shake of the booty, he gave direction s for the rest of the night.

...making sure to thanks the fabulous hosts whose work was almost done for them because of the amazingly talented cast.
