Friday's
breakfast was nothing out of the norm. Campers walked back and forth,
making full plates of food empty. But they had a surprise in store for
them.
David Michaels,
who would be leaving for graduate school next week (after 12 years at Campus
Kids), announced the beginning of a camp-wide Ro-Sham-Bo
(rock-paper-scissors) tournament. Each table would compete against
themselves, and whoever won would meet with all the other winners from the
tables. Then, there would be a winner from each cafeteria.
The two finalists
were Rachel B. (older kids cafeteria) and Maggs L. (younger kids cafeteria).
They were to battle it out at announcements.
It took three
rounds, but in the end, Rachel B. won.
And she was
promptly presented with her prize: an empty bottle of propel fitness water
found in the Lost & Found.
