It had been a long day.  The first day of camp is always draining, what with the health screenings, swim testing, settling in, meeting bunks, becoming reacquainted with the conveyor belt in the cafeteria, and overall fatigue that comes with a active day.  So that night, activity coordinators organized a boys' pool party at night.

The water stood still.  But that was about to change.

Now, I am a strong believer in the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words".  I frequently supplement those thousand words with even more words, but for this, I feel that each picture ought to be taken for what it is.  So without further adieu, the Senior and Super Senior Boys' Pool Party.

Staff of the Pool party were Max, Mel, and Jeremy as life guards (left) and Mike Villani as DJ (right).

For those that did not wish to swim, they watched from the gallery.

The rest?  Well, let's just see what they did.

By the end, it seemed as if the cannonball contests had displaced more water than was left in the pool.  Not surprisingly, Ryan Belline began a Frisbee competition, which ended in many campers laying out for a catch, and subsequently belly-flopped.  Noodle wars (the friendly kind) began in the shallow end, and the smack of the foam against the constantly rushing water echoed against the stone walls of the Centenary College pool.  Soon the echoes stopped, and campers began to leave, and the pool began filling up to its normal water level.  And as campers made their way to canteen, the first pool party on the first night of camp came to a close.
