Everyone has it: that one odd item sitting in their room. They're not sure why they have it, or where they first came across it, but for continuity's sake, they hang onto it, even though its apparent usage is questionable. Well, at last the time has come where this obscure item can be used: skit in a bag. |
For an evening activity, bunk groups were told to put random items into a bag or pillowcase, not knowing what it would be used for (we once again saw the return of the tire.) | |
Groups switched bags, and took their first glances at the items with which they would have to make a skit with. |
All the while, judges played the piano. |
After the allotted 20 minutes, the empty stage was graced with the presence of the first group. |
Now, the groups were given a mere third of an hour to put together a skit with items many had never seen before, so not all parts of the skits made sense, or rather, parts of the skit were hard to understand by the audience. And because I sat in the audience, at times I did not know what was going on, so to try to write a description of each skit would no doubt be incorrect. |
Once the groups had gone, the judges began to tally the scores. But in the meantime, eager campers played a spirited game of Freeze. If you are not familiar with this game, here is how it is played: two people begin acting out a skit, usually with exaggerated expressions. Then, when an audience member wants, they yell freeze, and the actors freeze in their absurd positions. Then, the person who yelled 'freeze' replaces one of the actors and begins an new skit. |
As Jeremy became the musical accompaniment, campers began. |
And as this game came to a close, the judges came to a decision on the winner. The winner of Skit In A Bag on August 7th, 2006 was the Riders of Rohan. |
