As far as
reputations go, New Jersey does not have a reputation for being a pretty
state (many nicknames for this state come to mind). But on a nice day,
the beauty that is Centenary College never ceases to amaze me. |
|
Probably photographed by every
camper who has ever taken Digital Photo, the golden dome, which can be seen
from miles away, glistens in the sunshine. |
The smoke stack
from Centenary's boiler room stands tall across the backdrop of a light blue sky. |
|
|
The Gazebo, a
gift from the class of 1955, sits quietly in the shade of a frequently
climbed tree. |
Lotte Hall, a
squat brick building perpendicular to Van Winkle Hall in the quad, receives
direct sun rays, illuminating the front. |
|
|
The soccer field, a long stretch
of grassy plains, exists with trees surrounding the boarders, perfectly fit
to provide shade to weary players. |
The back fields,
completely open, seem endless to the eyes and feet. |
|
|
And outside Centenary, near the
outskirts of Hackettstown, exists rolling wooded mountains, almost standing
guard over the town. |
And as the sun
sets under the mountains, the sky turns an orange color as darkness
envelopes the campus in night. |
