The Beauty that is Centenary College

As far as reputations go, New Jersey does not have a reputation for being a pretty state (many nicknames for this state come to mind).  But on a nice day, the beauty that is Centenary College never ceases to amaze me.

Probably photographed by every camper who has ever taken Digital Photo, the golden dome, which can be seen from miles away, glistens in the sunshine.

The smoke stack from Centenary's boiler room stands tall across the backdrop of a light blue sky.

The Gazebo, a gift from the class of 1955, sits quietly in the shade of a frequently climbed tree.

Lotte Hall, a squat brick building perpendicular to Van Winkle Hall in the quad, receives direct sun rays, illuminating the front.

The soccer field, a long stretch of grassy plains, exists with trees surrounding the boarders, perfectly fit to provide shade to weary players.

The back fields, completely open, seem endless to the eyes and feet.

And outside Centenary, near the outskirts of Hackettstown, exists rolling wooded mountains, almost standing guard over the town.

And as the sun sets under the mountains, the sky turns an orange color as darkness envelopes the campus in night.
