Rumors were flying.  The younger girls had heard of a 'Secret Pool' and were anxious to find it.  They didn't know where it was, or what it was, or what it contained, but their curiosity got the better of them.
The portal to the secret pool was being guarded by Stevie, who had "express orders" from Tom not to let anyone in.

My escapades rarely lead me to be lying behind a parked car with a camera, trying to take pictures without being seen.

And all I can say is that there was a wait.

But Stevie didn't budge.

The girls, hiding behind Centenary College vans, began plotting their entrance.

They tried bargaining, but Stevie would hear nothing of it.  "I could get fired !" he shouted.  "Tom told me not to let anyone in."
And they were truly persistent.

It wasn't until one camper feigned injury that he left his post.
...carrying the "injured" camper to the nurse.

And once he was gone, it was a mad dash.
Making their way up four, maybe even five flights of stairs in Washabaugh Hall lead them to their Holy Grail.

The Secret Pool.

Now, I'm not sure if you've ever tried to fill up an inflatable pool in a college dorm (but I assume you have) so you know full well that it is not an easy task, and because plastic inflatable pools have no heating apparatus, the water was cold.  This was shocking to all the younger girls who went in, and the screams were that of a bag of cats being flung against a wall, amplified.
Suffice it to say, it was loud.

And when Stevie came in, vindicated campers made sure to get him plenty wet.

They might have looked only at pictures from camp in 2004.
