Double period
softball is always an activity that excites campers when they see it on the
sign-up sheet at snack. Campers walked over to the Wakefield diamond for two
hours of home runs and steals!
The activity
started off with some throwing and catching to warm-up, as well as some
ground ball and pop fly drills.
After some time
practicing, it was time to start the game! Rachel geared up to get behind
the plate and catch. Safety first!
The sluggers
stepped up to the plate and started to hit the softballs right out of the
park!
After making
contact, the players legged it out to reach first base before the ball.
Sometimes the
fielders were able to beat out the runner on the play!
Some of the
hitters swung for the fencers to drive in a few runs.
The star
outfielders covered a lot of ground to catch those long shots.
Great job to all
the star softballers who played an excellent game!
