At times when walking around
here at Campus Kids, you may question if you are in the midst of the
1960's. But, once you realize that there are no rioters outside Tom's
office, and the clubs are truly just fun clubs without any devious
motives, then you will see that the mass amount of tie-dye found all
around campus is simply just because we love it! |

(I, myself, am a fan)
Luckily, our camp
offers an activity that lets us create our own tie-dye! |
It starts out where everyone
soaks their white clothes in a Sulfur solution in order to prevent the
dye from washing out. |
The kids then take it out, and
twist their clothes in certain ways that create certain patterns. Many
popular patterns are the bullseye, the spiral, stripes, and more!
Counselors and staff assistants who have been here for many years and
know how to make a great tiedye, often help. |

Then the dye comes out! (so do
the gloves to prevent dye from staining everyone's hands!) |
The colors are always vivid! |
Then once that's over, the
tie-dyed clothing are either put in bags still rubber-banded, or the
rubber bands are taken out, and to see the beautiful creations! |

Alright well I gotta run, which
hopefully the dye won't do.. (I think I've used too many bad jokes in
the past couple weeks) .. so hope you enjoyed this psychedelic photo
journal, and tune into news about Campstock, that's when you'll see a
crazy amount of tie dye! Peace out! |
