SALARIES FOR SEASONAL SUMMER STAFF

COUNSELOR salaries are determined after a review of the employment application and the interview.  The minimum summer salary for college-age counselors (completing freshman year and older) is $1800-2000.  "Salary increments" would make the salary higher.  Increments are given for certain previous work experiences with children, appropriate certifications and other factors that relate to relevant experience and skills.  Staff members traveling from outside the Mid-Atlantic and New England states may also be eligible for a partial reimbursement of transportation costs.  Because this is a residential camp position, all staff members receive room and board in addition to their salaries.  Of course, staff members at Campus Kids have every weekend off -- from Friday evening to early Monday morning.

Staff members from OTHER COUNTRIES who are working through the J-1 visa program have a different financial scale based on the rules of their program (CCUSA, Camp Leaders or Inter-Exchange), which is fully explained in their literature.
